Rositsa Wartonik

Rositsa Wartonik is a certified financial consultant. She graduated in “Economics and Management” under a joint program of the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University and the Faculty of Economics at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. She obtained as well Master’s Degree in “Slavic Philology” at Sofia University “Kliment Ohridski”.


Rositsa Wartonik is CEO and founder of the Financial Literacy Initiative Foundation. She implements a number of innovative projects for increasing the financial knowledge and skills of various social groups of different ages – including work to increase financial literacy in the corporate sector.


Rositsa Wartonik has over 20 years of experience in the field of financial literacy, public communications and strategic planning. She was responsible for public communications, financial education programs, as for the consumer information center of the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC). Her professional career began at the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia, then she was a financial education advisor to the Capital Markets Regulation project, funded by USAID.


She is a member of the Financial Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Public Relations Society. She is an advisor on financial education and communications to the Association of Bulgarian Insurers.

She has many specializations in the field of financial literacy and participation as a lecturer in a number of public events in the country and abroad.
